Why Body Ballistics and personal training?

One word . . . MOTIVATION, or the lack thereof. Body Ballistics has personal trainers in Fort Worth and elsewhere to help you. America is one of the busiest, richest, most progressive countries in the world. Shouldn't it be one of the healthiest too? Maybe it should, but the sad truth is that Americans are some of the unhealthiest and most obese people in the world. This is largely due to our lifestyle. We have motivation to work long hours without sleeping or eating enough but when it comes to exercising to maintain that busy life, motivation disappears. A personal trainer in Arlington, TX is there to help you get motivated.

According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention):
  • Obesity in adults has increased by 60% within the past twenty years
  • Obesity in children has tripled in the past thirty years
  • A staggering 33% of American adults are obese
  • Obesity-related deaths have climbed to more than 300,000 a year

Several factors lead to obesity:

Poor nutritional habits:

Poor nutritional habits are the greatest cause of obesity in America and the world today. According to the American Dietetic Association, 80% of the results in a weight-loss program can be attributed to smart nutritional habits

Lack of regular exercise:

Seven out of 10 American adults don't exercise regularly despite the proven health benefits. Regular exercise can be defined as light-to-moderate exercise at least five times a week for at least an hour, or vigorous activity at least three times a week for a minimum of 45 minutes. Experts say lack of physical activity contributes to some 300,000 deaths each year in the United States caused by heart disease, stroke, diabetes and other conditions.

Medical causes:

Medical causes of obesity may include but not be limited to the following; hypothyroidism (a condition where your thyroid doesn't produce enough of the hormone that regulates your metabolism), Cushing's syndrome, where too much cortisol is produced leading to an excess amount of body fat in characteristic areas and depression, most people with depression overeat.

Use of drugs:

The use of certain drugs, notably steroids, some antidepressants, and high blood pressure drugs and seizure medications can also cause increased body weight.

The obesity epidemic has reached staggering proportions and can be fought with an overall smart fitness routine that includes the 5 elements of fitness: nutritional counseling, resistance training, cardiovascular conditioning, supplementation, and professional coaching and development. It's not just a Dallas fitness training program, it's a way of life, a lifestyle change!
